Online casino players looking to play at one of the 14 active UK sites of Genesis Global can no longer do so. The operator shut down its UK services on 6th December, but players have until 30th December to withdraw their casino funds.
According to the official United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC), Genesis Global is the owner of the following platforms in Great Britain:

CEO of Genesis Global leaves
Meanwhile, Genesis Global Ltd. CEO Ariel Reem posted a LinkedIn update on his page on 5th December that he is no longer the company’s CEO. He has been in charge of Genesis since its beginning in 2014. No reasons were disclosed for his stepping down, and there was no reference to stopping websites from operating in the UK.
Before being a Genesis CEO, Reem worked for Mansion as a head of retention and internal marketing and later as a director of marketing operations.
License breaches and suspensions
Stopping new UK registrations and Reem’s exit comes after turbulent times for the company. In January 2020, Genesis was fined £3.8m by the UKGC after failing to comply with specific social responsibility and money-laundering terms.
Then in July 2020, the UKGC suspended Genesis’s license, conducting a review of potential breaches. Genesis appealed this, and their suspension got lifted in October 2020, but the UKGC said they uncovered further violations of licensing conditions.
Current standing and plans
Genesis Global is a significant player in the market, and they are likely to bounce back quickly from the latest misfortunes. They will likely make new strategies and appoint new people to carry them to the next level.
